{Ten on Thursday}

Lots of random stuff happening here so I decided to do a random 10. I used to do these on Monday but today seemed appropriate enough and I will probably be too busy to do much personal blogging for the next month or so but you may be surprised!



1. I went on a date Tuesday with my husband! We went to see Building 429 and Todd Agnew. I am stealing this picture from my friend since I didn't take my camera. (yeah, i know, bad photographer!) I also have a silly sweater on. It was the only one in the van and I knew I would get cold. Thanks for the invite, N! It was a lot of fun!

3. I spent the whole morning in my pjs crafting! I got inspired this morning by http://alittlehut.blogspot.com/ and made these bookmarks. Want one? Let me know which one is your favorite!




4.. I also got some cds wrapped for customers. I am loving red ric-rac!


5. Simon asked me this morning if today is the day we are going to Colorado. They are so excited to see family! I can't say I am much different.



6. While I was crafting, the kids were playing Star Wars Risk. They make up their own rules. At one point, T said, "My so tired," and left it to the boys. I love how she exchanges my for I right now.

6. We saw the first Christmas decorations in our neighborhood last night. Really? Yes!

7. I took some coupons with me to the store last night. Nothing too complicated - I just printed out stuff that would be free or cheap. I found two really good blogs yesterday...

8. I am trying out a new organizing/cleaning program. I just need to go print it out! I am excited that she includes the Bible reading for the day!

9. Scott is doing excellent in school. Some of you may not know that he is going for his Bachelor's in Software Engineering. I am so proud of him. He is working so hard.

10. I think my madness starts tomorrow with a newborn session and then on Saturday I am totally booked with 6 orchard sessions! Thank you so much to my amazing customers! YOU ROCK!!!

*I have two orchard session openings for Saturday the 21st @ 8:30AM & 4PM!*

~lovely day~

After Jonah's schoolwork, returning borrowed supplies, grocery shopping, and filling up the tires with air this morning, I just sat and thought about this lovely day. It's a perfect 71 degrees out, I have all the windows open, and I just lit a pumpkin spice candle. Yum! All glory to God!

We had another great weekend starting with Founder's Day on Saturday. It was a lot of work and really windy but it was a lot of fun seeing friends I know and meeting lots of nice people from Maricopa or planning to move here soon! :) Maricopa is such a great place to live. I'm liking it more and more all the time! The Lifehouse concert and fireworks were great also!

And because I can't post without a picture....another of Miss M....I love these daddy/daughter moments! Beautiful!

~I'm about to let the floodwaters loose! That is...I'm about to show you some pictures from the Father's Day Sessions!!!

~I spent a fun evening getting pampered on Saturday with the MOPS group! Thanks, ladies! I'm still recovering from the late night!

~Hey Rob ---MY HUSBAND IS THE #1 DADDY! I just had to say that because he asked me how the rankings worked. Now you know...

~We spent Father's Day in the City of the Sun with Scott's family. (I always switch things around, such as Sun City is the City of the Sun and Taco Bell is the Bell of the Taco...etc....I think it's from my friends in high school (holla, OHS 2000!). Jonah asked me if it was so hot because the sun lived there...) We had a delicious steak dinner and then swam it off in the pool all afternoon. What a gorgeous day to swim! 110 degrees in the shade...ahhh!

~Tonight was the last night of my photography class with the city. I'm gonna miss seeing those kids. They really have some talent and so much energy! I love it because I know they were so excited about learning more and asked me if I knew "everything" about photography. Thank you, parents, for encouraging your kids in this way. I'll be doing another one in the Fall and one for the adults since so many of you have asked.

~We're continuing our "Pretender" series and Scott is yelling at me to come so we can get started so I better go...oh, the suspense...

~random monday 2~

~I am teaching the Basic Photography class tonight! There are twelve 8-12 year olds! I am so excited. This is about the age my dad started me in 4-H Photography. It should be fun!

~Two newborns on the list still to come!

~We went to the splash pad 2x this weekend. Scott (and the kids) had so much fun! Scott even packed a picnic last night while I was working so that we could go again.

~Jonah told me he has a like a hundred stuff to do so I better let him get his "work" done. He just said, "I think you're done, Mom. Bring your list over to me and I will line it." (put a line through it)

I've "lined" a lot of things this weekend.

~random monday 1~

I've been wanting to do this for a while but haven't made the time. There is another photographer who has a Misc. Monday who kind of rambles on about life every Monday. I'm going to copy him but today is Tuesday as we had the day off yesterday :) I can't promise to do it every week but I usually have some randomness in me all the time.

~The long weekend was pretty relaxing. Scott worked a lot on his novel. Yes, he's writing a novel and it's really good (imho). We went to the park and grilled burgers and met some new neighbors. Someone usually brings their puppies by, which Trinity loves.

~I'm thinking about doing a detox . I was sick yesterday afternoon and feel like my body needs to detox. I am also a little concerned about my liver as I had a liver disorder during my pregnancies and want to keep it healthy. I found a Healthy Detox on marthastewart.com that I might try. It's pretty step-by-step and you don't ditch everything the first day.

~I would like to make my old blog into a blurb.com book. They make blogs into books and do other photo books that are pretty neat and affordable.

~What an eye-opener! Steven Curtis Chapman's 5-yr-old daughter, Maria, died in a terrible accident. Grab your tissues and go here to meet Maria, read the story, and leave a comment. There are already nearly 18,000 comments. He has touched so many lives and has helped nearly 17,000 families to adopt. I have just stopped to hug the kids more often this weekend. They probably think I'm a little loony.

~I was supposed to take pictures of a newborn yesterday but she was sick so we had to reschedule for later this week. I was really disappointed but it was a good thing since I ended up sick anyway. There are also a couple of my maternity moms due any second so this might be an interesting week :)

~I have joined a group forum called 8523mine.com. I look forward to getting to know some other photographers locally in Maricopa and learning from them. They put some pretty interesting pictures up and have been really helpful with some questions that I have had.

~Here's a picture of the boys with their favorite game and the shelf that Carlos from Maricopa Playhouses & More built for our living room. He did an excellent job and I wouldn't hesitate to call him if I had something else I needed done. Carlos (480)226-4529
