~grateful~

Last week I was feeling like I was on one of those crazy roller coasters with my hands up and screaming with enthusiasm going in a thousand different directions. I love every session and meeting people and getting a little bit of a break out of the house, but to be honest with you, the business side is a little overwhelming sometimes. I needed something to get me focused on why I do what I do...the photography side.

Along came 8-year-old Alexis. I know I don't normally use names but this new friend is extra special to me. Alexis is currently in remission from ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia). Alexis, her mom, and I spent an hour hanging out and taking pictures Wednesday afternoon. I got to know all about her. I will share more pics and insider info later but for now I wanted to share this one and this quote which I think goes well with the whole "Thanksgiving" week.

I want to learn to live each moment and be grateful for what it brings, asking nothing more.
